Project buyer

Place of work: Construction sites, local office or headquarters.

Role: Representative dedicated to one or more projects. In charge of site purchasing in accordance with the Group's purchasing policy.

Mission: S/he purchases the products, materials and services required to undertake construction work.

Purchase types: Material purchases (supplies and services). Concrete, steel, prefabricated components, woodwork, furniture, flooring, fittings, raised floors, sanitation, heating, mechanical transport (elevators and escalators), air conditioning and air handling, kitchens, generators and electrical distribution, etc.

Purchasing category buyer

Place of work: Local office or headquarters.

Role: An expert buyer in one purchasing category.

Mission: S/he defines the purchasing strategy for his or her product category (supplier relations, establishing internal requirements). S/he is responsible for the economic and logistical performance of his or her products.

Purchase types: Material purchases (supplies and services). Concrete, steel, prefabricated components, woodwork, furniture, flooring, fittings, raised floors, sanitation, heating, mechanical transport (elevators and escalators), air conditioning and air handling, photovoltaic panels, kitchens, generators and electrical distribution, etc.

Portal buyer

Place of work: Global presence.

Role: Responsible for international sourcing in his or her geographical area.

Mission: S/he carries out sourcing in his or her area (CSR, economic, technical audit) and qualifies suppliers. S/he is also in charge of purchasing from qualified suppliers.

Purchase types: Reinforcement, sheet piling, framework, tubes, woodwork, floor covering, electricity, façades, furniture, etc.

Indirect spend

Place of work: Headquarters.

Role: S/he is responsible for the entire purchasing cycle (from invitation to tender to deployment of framework contracts).

Mission: S/he establishes framework contracts based on internal client needs (mass purchasing at Group level, sharing with other Group entities, etc.).

Subcontract procurement team

Role: Purchasing subcontracted services.

Mission: Consulting on and negotiating subcontracted work (taking into account specifications, site constraints and other contractual documents relating to operations).

Purchase types: Internal secondary works (architectural, roofing, waterproofing, panelling, electricity, HVAC, plumbing, poles, etc.).

Work supervisor

Place of work: Construction sites.

Role: Establishing requirements and responsible for implementing the purchased product.

Mission: Having overall responsibility for construction work, s/he tells the buyer what is required, and ensures receipt and coordination of works, etc.

Site manager/foreman

Place of work: Construction sites.

Role: Provision of site consumables.

Mission: S/he supplies his or her site with goods on the basis of framework contracts negotiated by buyers. S/he uses an e-procurement IT tool (dedicated to supplies).
S/he ensures receipt and implementation.
